Central Town Cemetery: Jewish Section was established in 1890 has a Ceremonial Hall and 30 monuments. The public property was nationalized in 1958. [Land Registry: Folder No: 1737 Plot No.: 1406 & 1405/2] Jewish Community belonged to the J.C. in Varazdin. Jewish Population: 1931- 60; 1941- 45; 1947-9; 1994-0. The thirty tombstones have inscriptions in Hebrew, German, and Croatian. The ceremonial hall, existing in 1994?] was destroyed about 20 years ago although its foundations are still visible. No separation between the Jewish section and the rest of the cemetery exists. [January 2009]
