La-Seyne-Sur-Mer is a town and industrial (shipbuilding) suburb of Toulon of the Var département with a population of 61,000. 2006: The constitution of the Jewish community dates to 1971, just celebrating its 35th year of existence. Building and synagogue date from 1974. The congregants are mostly from North Africa. La Seyne-Sur-Mer's geographical situation and climate attracts numerous tourists.
